OBITUARY – VICE-PRESIDENT FRANCE

It is with deep regret and great sadness that we announce the passing of Hervé Hoffer, our Vice-Président France, on January 13, 2017.

Mr Hoffer, involved in remembrance activities for numerous years, played a key role in promoting and representing the foundation in Normandy and in France. He was a great friend of veterans and of Canadian soldiers and their families, and never hesitated to open his residence to them upon their visit in Normandy. Many have had the pleasure of meeting Hervé in this residence known as Canada House in Bernières-sur-mer. The Canadian Battlefields Foundation will ever be indebted to Hervé Hoffer for his commitment towards the remembrance of the sacrifices of our courageous soldiers. The CBF extends sincere condolences to his spouse Nicole and all members of his family.
